She’s searching for a sign...
Hannah Halloran has always believed in her gift. The things she sees through her psychic touch have never led her wrong before. Not when they led her to an unforgettable night with a sexy marine at a bar. Not when she felt a need to leave her home and find the sisters she barely knows. And not now, when she is an unwilling witness to a brutal murder...
He’s ready to show her...
All Niall Graham wants is some peace. He’s recovering from the horrors of war, struggling to save his family’s restaurant, and desperate to forget Hannah, the beautiful woman who left him with memories of a mind-blowing night together and a bogus phone number. But a quiet life is hard to manage—especially when Hannah strides back into his restaurant with the news that a serial killer is on the loose and lurking closer than anyone could have guessed...
Energized is the third in the Tidewater series. The series focuses on three sisters who were separated when their mother died. Each book looks at one sister, her unique talents and her romance. The talents are those of the “mind” which is my favorite kind of supernatural. Their men have military and / or law enforcement backgrounds.
I thought Energized would be about the younger sister finding the two older sisters who have already reconnected with each other. It was but it felt like the more primary storyline was the romance and a murder mystery. Since I thought Niall was an idiot at the beginning and then did a bit of a 180, I didn’t like him very much. He didn’t seem to have any good relationships.
The youngest sister, Hannah, is energetic and outgoing. She is fresh out of school and trying to get established in her chosen field. Her talent gets her caught up into a serial killer mystery which is the main story. I found her interesting and mostly relatable throughout.
I would have preferred more time in Energized with the three sisters instead of the romance and serial killer plot. I knew it would have the romance and I would have liked it better if I had liked Niall more.
I am curious to see where the series goes from here. I really would have liked more time and interaction with the three sisters. So if there aren’t any more books in the series, that will be disappointing. If there are more books, I’m not sure who the romance will be – their friends, other psychic people or other law enforcement types they know?
I liked all the books in the series but didn’t love them. It is my favorite type paranormal and if it’s yours, give them a try.
