Barnes & Noble He’s just found out that he’s been designated the guardian for a half-brother he never knew existed. And that’s not even the craziest thing about this night. The annulment he thought he got twelve years ago? Yeah, that never went through.
She’s shocked to see him again, but not surprised they’re still married. After all, she was the one who refused to sign the annulment papers.
When she offers to help with his younger brother, a sweet, devout preacher’s daughter seems like an answered prayer. But he soon realizes that she wants a second chance. At everything. And he has a hell of a time resisting her… which is exactly what got him into trouble last time.
.
This series seems to have two names The Bradfords and Everyday Heroes. The stories revolve around the Bradford family, their community center, doctors, nurses and paramedics. The whole circle of families and friends and their continuing support of each other make this series so special to me.
Kevin’s life has blown up into new problems and issues he has ignored for years. He has a half-brother he didn’t know existed. He goes back to the hometown and finds out he’s still married. Eve has her own problems from then and now to understand.
I knew Kevin’s story, with his conversion to being a Christian after having some rough years, would be a big one. And yes, Kevin is the amazing guy who helps everyone, he walks the walk. Kevin works every day to prove he is good enough. But he doesn’t quite believe in himself, the way his group of friends do.
This close-knit, caring group of people really make the series. I love them. I laughed and cried and worried, with all the feels with them and for them. Just a Kiss is more icing on the cake.
Narration:
Karen White performs these so well; they are like crack for me. I’m not sure I would enjoy the books as much without her talents. The emotion and wit with the dialogue and character thoughts are incredible! The different characters’ voices are mostly recognizable to me now in the series. I was able to listen comfortably at 1.5x speed.

About Erin Nicholas
Erin Nicholas is the author of sexy contemporary romances. Her stories have been described as toe-curling, enchanting, steamy and fun. She loves to write about reluctant heroes, imperfect heroines and happily ever afters. I can't really remember any time when I wasn't reading. I LOVE books and what they give me. It's an opportunity to learn new things, see new places, live different emotions in a "safe" way. It lets me live in a new world.
I read all types of books but my favorites are urban fantasy and romantic suspense.I like some romance and some action / adventure / mystery in everything.I like sex in my books but please, only between TWO people.Intimate conversation is equally important to the sex in a book.It lets me see the characters. The other thing I enjoy is humor.

I love how you’re loving this series, Anne! I’m looking forward to trying it out.
You should they are awesome. I think they are funny, sexy and with ordinary people doing good things. I also believe the audio version is going to be better than reading, after all, Karen White.
I like the idea that they are everyday people and he’s come back to make good. New to me series!
This is the last one in this series. These are the Night Shift EMTs and there is another series which is the Day Shift. I bought the Day series recently in a box set sort of ebooks. I have reviewed all 5 of these Night ones on audio and they are all top notch. They are so emotionally satisfying.
Oops it’s the other way around. This is Day Shift the other one is Night shift.
That sounds so fun. The cover is a really good one too.
Truly I have enjoyed all five audios. So much.
So happy you got another great story in the series, Anne!
It’s a really great series. There was only one I liked rather than loved out of the five.
Love stories with a community feel to them. This seems interesting.
I really loved them. Don’t be fooled, there is plenty of sexy here. 🙂
I do love something with some good smexy time to it.
