What happens when Remington's most notoriously single, notoriously sexy surgeon falls for the one woman he can't have? Did I mention that she's A) his best friend, B) immune to his charm, and C) sleeping on his couch for the next six weeks?
Familiarity breeds temptation for Jonah Sheridan and Natalie Kendrick in this steamy friends-to-lovers medical contemporary romance. While part of the Remington Medical world, this book is a complete standalone and can be read as your first Kimberly Kincaid novel, or your twentieth. No cliffhangers, no spoilers, all red-hot HEA!
I am loving this new Remington Medical series which is set in North Carolina. I really like the way the author blends in medical aspects from their work because it is part of their lives and makes them more realistic. This ability is one of the reasons I favor Kimberly Kincaid. I am not a medical expert so I don’t know if the medical stuff is accurate but it isn’t obviously wrong.
The setting is the same world as the Station Seventeen series. I enjoy seeing some of those characters very briefly. Jordan and Natalie were introduced in Back to You and it’s great to get know them better.
They each have things about their history which make for issues in their current lives and relationships. Don’t we all? Another thing I love is character honesty with themselves and others, and their personal development. Better Than Me is jam-packed with this favorite thing. I love their journey. I’m totally along for Between Me & You, the next one with this group of friends and medical environment.

Sounds like some well written characters and a lot of fun!
This is one of the contemporary romance authors I will read. I’m kind of picky on them. Well ok I read a lot of different ones, have tons of freebies in this genre, but this is one author I really like.
Friends to lovers, always a good trope for me
I like everything by this author.
I’m not familiar with Kimberly Kincaid but I do like that sound of this one. The characters sound realistic and like they behave like adults (no OTT drama). And I like the NC setting. That’s where my husband is from so it’s like my adopted home state. 🙂
I like all her stuff. This is the second in this series which is just barely related to her firefighter series set in the same location. I hope you enjoy them if you get a chance to try them. Some of her other series are in KU.
I love the NC setting. This sounds so good. I’ve not read this author, but do have her marked as wanting to. Maybe book one?
Yes I always start with book 1. This is one of the authors I like for contemporary. I am reading somewhat less of contemporary, I think.
Oh neat! I need a medical setting for one of my challenge books and I haven’t tried her books yet. This sounds good.
Yes I would start with book 1 being my OCD self. I really enjoy her books though. In the related Station 17 series, one of the books is also focused on an EMT.
This looks like a good series. Wonderful review, Anne!
I like everything I have read by this author. It’s set in NC too.
