He hates the corporate world.
She's all business.
Now they have to work together on the one job that could make or break them both...Connor became a flight medic for one reason, and one reason only.
To help people.
If he can keep his head down and his past in the past while he's at it?
Even better.Until Harlow appears to upend his world with an offer he can't refuse.
She's calculating. Composed. Scalpel-sharp.
And she'll stop at nothing to makeher father's business successful.Even if that means teaming up with Connor to turn around a failing clinic.
He shouldn't like her.
He definitely shouldn't want her.
But the more they work together the less he's able to resist. But Connor's secrets run deep.
Will Harlow's ambition ruin him, or will she be his salvation?
I continue to love the Remington Medical series which is set in North Carolina. It is the same world as the Station Seventeen series. I enjoy seeing some of those characters briefly again. I really enjoy the circle of friends these co-workers have become and how they support each other in the various things happening in their lives. The author does an excellent job on bringing in interesting details about their work with medical and business details. She also brings in the gossip and politics of a working environment.
Harlow and Connor are such great characters. They both work hard and care about others. They also both have insecurities and things to hide. Even so, they are very competent at their work. They really bump heads at the start, each wanting the same result but having different ideas about how to get there. Gradually, they learn to work together effectively for the greater good but it is not easy.
And then there is the smoking hot chemistry they have. It helps them continue to grow their relationship and support for each other in the work. But even with them both working together to succeed, the situation isn’t an easy one.
I did feel like there is more to come with Connor’s past and Declan which were not resolved in Between Me & You. So I have to wonder if there is more to come in the series. I hope so!

Reading this book contributed to these challenges:
- 2019 Releases
- COYER Hunt
sounds like you are really enjoying the series and i hope there is more to come for you.
Thanks, it is a great series. I like the camaraderie and the medical work is interesting.
I was just looking over my COYER Scavenger Hunt list and so I realized that you got a whopping 5 point-er with this read since its set in your home state. LOL
It looks like a good series, too. I still need to start reading her books.
Yes and that is a big help since several books I have read recently don’t fit any category which is remaining unused by me. I would do the “hunt” for those type books but I have ARCs which I need to read now.
The name does ring a bell but I don’t think I’ve read a book by this author
I really enjoy her work. It’s ordinary people with interesting jobs. There’s a bit of hot and a bit of funny. It’s more realistic than some authors write.
That teaser sure hooked me. I’ve been wanting to try this author. Nice to see you are still enjoying the series. Got to love it when the author keeps on bringing it:)
Yes and I am rather fussy about my contemporary romance. Only certain authors seem to work for me. If they are too unrealistic or billionaire and the virgin or too insta-love I can’t believe it.
I really like it when I find an author that I can follow through multiple series set in the same area.
Yes she has done the firefighters and now the hospital. There is crossover with police / EMT in the fire series. I like her style of writing which is more realistic and a little funny.
