I can’t believe we are on to book five of a series that wasn’t originally supposed to be a series at all. I remember reading about Lindsay, the psychiatrist who starts women on their path to house. He was never my favorite of the trainers, but wow, his training scene was hot in Guilty Pleasures. So, needless to say, I was excited to hear his story.
Shannon might be Lindsay’s biggest regret. He brought her to the house way too soon. And just a few days in the house, she makes Brian angry (protip: never make Brian angry, he is a literal psychopath, see Broken Dolls). Brian did his worse and then she is unable to be sold because of the physical scars he left. While those scars are bad, the mental scars are just as bad. Shannon is working at the spa in the house, but just making it through day to day. Not really living.
I had a great time with this addition to the Pleasure House series. This has been a really fun series. Lindsay is an interesting character and it was great to finally get his story. Shannon is also a great character and I enjoyed getting to know her. I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention Ralph, Lindsay’s filthy mouthed African Grey Parrot.
It was too quiet when he reached the bedroom. “Shannon?”
“You’re a very dirty girl. Do you know what I want to do with this body?” the bird squawked.
“Shut up, Ralph.” He should have kept that goddamned bird at the office.
If you like hard core BDSM and sharing of partners, this is a fun series. You can read any of the books in whatever order you would like, though I think series order (which isn’t chronological order) would be my favorite way to read it. And all the books are just as hot. Highly recommended.

I started listening to audiobooks when a new book in a series was coming out and I wanted to get a refresher, but didn’t have time to read all the books (I think it was Anita Blake). I fell in love. I stayed with strictly re-reading books that I’d already read for a long time. I eventually tried an audiobook for something that I hadn’t read first and was hooked there too. Now, I listen to audio for both re-reads and first time. I have some series that I’ve given up reading and only listen. I try to get any many books/audiobooks from the library to help save on my budget. Books on CD and the newer digital downloads from the library really allow me to listen more. I then purchase my favorites (because who can wait in line for your favorite book??) and less mainstream books from Audible or some other online retailer.

Not familiar with this series, but sounds like it gets pretty intense with the trainers. I’m curious now and the parrot is a hoot (or squawk if you will).
Ralph is pretty great. He has very small parts in other books, but not as much as this one.

The bird sounds like a lot of fun but I have to admit that I don’t think that this one is for me. I am glad you are enjoying this series even if it wasn’t supposed to happen.
BDSM isn’t for everyone and this one is deeper than most. I like them when they have a good plot and great characters in the story too.

This series is new to me. I’ve read some BDSM, like Crave Me by Jennifer Dawson. I enjoyed it.
I don’t read a lot of BDSM, but I do like it when there is a story and great characters with it. This author is one of my favorites. Hers aren’t all BDSM, but all have a dark side.

This seems hot. Sometimes I’ve definitely in the mood for something like this. I don’t mind sharing partners in books when it is done right. I really liked the Original Sinners and the Beyond series that semi have that kind of story.
This author writes some pretty hot stories. It’s definitely on par with Original Sinners and Beyond (both series that I love), though this author writes darker stuff. I hope you will give her a try sometimes. She often has $0.99 deals here and there, so I would keep an eye out for them.

She has some really interesting stories. I’ve had a great time with her characters. Most of her books are stand alone. This is the only series at this point.
