I chose this series because it is my favorite genre – urban fantasy and one of my favorite series. I wanted a series with 8-12 books. These are mostly available at both of my libraries, in both ebook and audio formats. Some of the other series I considered were less available at libraries, not available on audiobook, or more expensive to purchase.
You will have a 4 weeks to read each book. There will be games, discussion, prizes, reviews and fun with each book. The prizes will mostly be digital books from Amazon, so that is open to anyone who has an email and can receive an ebook from Amazon. They can be read on a computer, smartphone or Kindle.
Here’s your to-do list:
- Find your copies of these books, borrow them from a friend, get them at the library or buy them.
- Read Book 1, Moon Called, by January 3.
- Make a list of a favorite quote or two as you read the book.
- If you haven’t read the books before, make a list of questions you have for the discussion. If you have read them, please don’t spoil new readers.
- Comment here and let me know if you have read them before or if you are starting on a new adventure with me.
- Enter the giveaways!

Looking forward to this. I read the series years ago and think I stopped at book 8 maybe. It will be nice to finish it out.
Oh excellent! I’m looking forward to it also. I have read them all but a year apart on some and the first one so long ago. It’s like Kate Daniels because it’s a series I REALLY love and I’ve never taken the opportunity to read it all along, so I’m really very excited. It will be awesome to get your fresh observations and questions on those later books too!
I never read the series. Thanks 😉
We’d be thrilled to have you try it and join us for at least the first book!
Love this series and my library does have most of the audios. I’d love to do a reread/listen with your group. I’ll probably be doing Smokebitten for a new release review near when it comes out, but I should be able to join you for most of the rest. Though, I might have to join the schedule with book two since I won’t be able to get to Mooncalled by the due date unless I can read the graphic novel version for that. LOL
Thanks for setting this up, Anne!
I’m ecstatic you will be joining us! I’m excited to do it myself since I haven’t read the earlier books for awhile and it’s always fun to do them all in a row to keep the details fresh. I’m just sorry Smoke Bitten is in March and we will take all year to read the series.
Would you be willing to share a review for one of the later ones like Silence Fallen or Storm Cursed since you are reading the whole series? We only need 3-4 paragraphs and if you want to share any observations or questions. It’s harder for me to do that part when I’ve already read the whole series and more natural when I haven’t (like with Alex Verus). Anyway, email me if you are interested. It can be a review you have already posted, of course.
I’m hazy on the middle ones so yes, I’d be happy to put up a review. It can be a fresh review since I haven’t listened to the audios and its been years so it will be pretty close to new for me. 🙂 Any of them from Bonecrossed on I could review for you. Just let me know and give me a date to shoot for. 🙂
Thank you I will email you some options!
I’ve read all the books to date and love the series. I doubt I’ll participate in the read-along.
I’m sorry you won’t be joining us but I’m glad to hear you have read and love the series! It is excellent.
LOVE this series. The audios are really amazing. Not sure yet if I’ll join.
I haven’t tried the audios yet; I’ve been reading them. Now oddly I listen to audio for the Alpha & Omega series on audio. It’s a question of timing I think. I wasn’t listening to audiobooks (gasp!!!) at the time I started the series. Jennifer and Jonetta coverted me so series I have started later are more likely to be audio. If you have read them before though, let me know if you’d consider sharing a review of one of them. (It can be one you have previously posted and does not have to be long.)
I’ll email about sharing a review. I’ve read this series and listened to it so many times. You should do the audios for Mercy. They are great. My library has them, but I bought them since I love this series. ^_^
I haven’t heard of this one before. Sounds like a good one, thanks!
It’s definitely in my top 5 favorite UF series of all time. I hope you’ll get to try them.
I’m in. This is one of series I’ve been wanting to reread and this works out great.
I’m so excited to have you joining us and thanks for agreeing to a review!
I’m looking forward to getting back into this series!
Me too! I’m thrilled you are reading with us and sharing a review too.
I was thinking of doing this one with you this time. But then I realized with the next book coming out in the spring, I didn’t want to wait to read it. Maybe I’ll pick and choose some of them to read with you all. I will definitely follow along the reviews! Great series.
yes that timing is unfortunate. But it is the same every year if it is a spring release series. I’ll likely read it in March and then again at the end. I figure then we will be set with a fresh read for the one next year plus it is always better when you read them all in a row.
I am a little behind on the last 2 or 3 books from this series, so I’m excited to join in! Ive been reading the series since like 2010!
I’m so glad you will join us! I haven’t read the earlier ones for a few years and it’s always great to read them all in a stream; I think one catches more fine details. This is one of my favorite series ever also.
One of my favorite series! I have read all of the books at least twice so I will probably pop in and out of the read-along depending on how much time I have available. So so good!
It’s also one of my favorite series of all. I am happy to have us join in when you can. I also look forward to reading them all fresh in a row as I haven’t done it that way.
I have this series on my list for the new year. Now to find time to start them. I love the covers for these!
I’d be ecstatic to have you read along with us. The covers are amazing. I met the artist at DragonCon and he is so nice. And talented. I bought a print of the Night Broken cover I’ll post a picture of what it looks like at some point. I spent a bunch having it framed but it looks amazing.
