Then an injury sidelines him and Ben has no choice but to make a bargain with an alien huntress determined to claim him as her own. Agreeing, Ben knows there’s more than one way to win and he’s about to prove he’s more than a muscled enforcer.
I was so excited to finally see one of the men get hunted in this series. I really liked Ben in the previous books. These books take place all about the same timeline, just following different characters. Several humans have been abducted from earth and brought to a planet where they will be hunted. They will become the property of whoever can catch them. So far, we’ve only seen the women get taken (and I loved each story, which all have a HEA). This time, we get to see where Ben ends up.
Adiya Yamma is a General on her planet. She’s a ruler of a territory and was chosen as heir over her older sister, which was a surprise to many, especially the sister. Now her rule is being challenged and other generals are trying to force into a marriage with one of their family members to control her. She wants to find someone who won’t try to undermine her rule. This is why she enters The Hunt.
I really like watching these two come together. It takes a bit of time. And Ben gives her a run for her money as she tries to catch him. I even love how hard he works to care for the others with him. After Ben gets injured, he convinces Adiyanot to not to claim him until after all his friends have moved on to level two.
I’ve really loved all the books in this series. You could read these out of order or as standalones, if you so choose, though I personally prefer to read in order. It is a fun science fiction romance with great characters that I just love. And even though these couples come together in dire circumstances, they do fall in love with each other and have an happy ever after.

Oh wait, I let my imagination run away from me. I don’t fight crime, I spin tales in my pajamas. Which, to keep the flow on the cool side, could be imagined not as flannel with snowflakes pictured on them, but as black silk.
So with my black silk pajamas on, after putting in hard hours at the day job, at night I sit at my computer looking cool as hell and spin tales of alien invasions, sexy alien kings, tough-as-nails Earth women, fighting, murder and of course, alien dismemberment.

I started listening to audiobooks when a new book in a series was coming out and I wanted to get a refresher, but didn’t have time to read all the books (I think it was Anita Blake). I fell in love. I stayed with strictly re-reading books that I’d already read for a long time. I eventually tried an audiobook for something that I hadn’t read first and was hooked there too. Now, I listen to audio for both re-reads and first time. I have some series that I’ve given up reading and only listen. I try to get any many books/audiobooks from the library to help save on my budget. Books on CD and the newer digital downloads from the library really allow me to listen more. I then purchase my favorites (because who can wait in line for your favorite book??) and less mainstream books from Audible or some other online retailer.

I’ve had a great time with this series. The previous book was a mother with an young boy and infant. They were hunted (which she reminded people that a mother will do anything to protect her children).
You always manage to pick things I would enjoy but that I didn’t know about before you shared them.
