You’re smart, you’re driven (possibly a workaholic) and somehow you have chemistry with the hottest man you’ve ever seen. So much so you have a whirlwind courtship and get married really fast. Just a few issues can thwart your happiness, most of them your own making. You can’t tell your husband what your real job […]
A rich Manhattanite vacationer makes a bad first impression and the local gal has a sassy way of catching his attention at the beach. Audrey Bellezza and Emily Harding’s Emma of 83rd Street was an amazing first book and in my top reads last year so I couldn’t pass up the chance to pick up […]
I have read all three series by J.A. Jance for a long time. I always recommend to read series in order. This Ali Reynolds series is probably the least realistic of the three, and is not based on law enforcement personnel like the other series. I still love it. Ali was a news anchor who […]
An old enemy has fallen and new enemies have arisen for the Brothers and their allies. Each new Black Dagger Brotherhood installment brings its own brand of excitement and Lover Arisen is no exception. As the twentieth entry in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, Lover Arisen is not a good place for new readers to […]
I always enjoy the books by this author. They bring the feelings and the fun. I appreciated the author’s notes prefacing this story. Who doesn’t love horses and treasure hunting? Something Wilder is a second chance romance. A couple that met when young and then suffered tragedy and hardship to help their families. Lily’s mother […]
A little bit Christmas story and a lot a bit Groundhog day. Masie and family have done the same Christmas routine for as long as she can remember. Go to a cabin in Park City with some of her parent’s friends from college and their children and spend Dec 20 – Dec 26 doing all […]
I don’t know what I expected from Please See Us but it wasn’t what I read. We do get the thoughts and activities of the two young women, Lily and Clara. We also get several other points of view which helped tell the story. I didn’t remember from the blurb about the two young women […]
Marriage on Madison Avenue is the story of the two best friends that everyone knew were in love, well everyone except for them. Audrey and Clarke have been best friends since they were kids, they’ve been with each other through everything and just skipped the part where they ever got physically close. So when Clarke […]
Lauren Layne has been a favorite contemporary romance writer of mine for some time now. Every single one of her books reminds me of a chick flick I’ve made the hubs watch with me. Love on Lexington Avenue completely fits that bill as well. Claire is recently widowed. I’d like to say she lost the […]
I’ve read a number of Lauren Layne (LL) books somewhere between eighteen and twenty and there are a few things I’ve come to expect. I always expect a thoroughly enjoyable story, an eventual HEA, a group of fun friends that are pretty hilarious and one or two steamy sex scenes. Passion in the Park had […]
