Ex-Navy SEAL Cabe Moss always comes when called to duty―at all costs. Even though the death of his fiancée nearly destroyed him, Cabe won’t let his past interfere with any work that has to get done. When his latest task pushes him to team up with FBI Agent Amy Murray, a fierce beauty with the undercover skills to match, Cabe must admit that, for the first time in years, he wants to do more than just complete their mission together…
Amy was born ready for this assignment, but working side-by-side with the the strong, silent, and frustratingly professional Cabe seems to be the biggest challenge of all. But when the sparks begin to fly―and the stakes rise to dangerous heights―the only thing Amy is left worrying about is how she can resist him. Their lives may be in danger, but their hearts hold the biggest risk of all…
The Love Over Duty series concludes with the story of Cabe and Amy. It was great to see Six and Mac with their ladies again, too. Deep Cover is my favorite in the series. It has layers of story jam-packed with romance, action and suspense.
I really enjoyed these characters and wouldn’t mind continuing on in this world. I’m sorry to think this is the end. Eagle Securities is working with the FBI and other government agencies to bring down the Russians involved in Lou’s kidnap and development theft in Under Fire. There’s also money-laundering and sex trafficking aspects.
Cabe is a former Navy SEAL running the security firm with his long-time friends and SEAL buddies. He sees the relationships his friends have; it is something he has always wanted. He is still lost in memories of Jess, his fiance, who was killed in action two years ago. But his eye is captured by Amy, although it makes him feel disloyal to Jess.
Amy is an FBI agent who wants to focus on missing women. Her mother disappeared years ago and has never been found. When the FBI joins the case to look for women abducted for the sex trafficking, Amy goes undercover. Luckily, she has unique skills which allow her to do it.
Cabe and Amy have serious business with the investigation and manage to be very professional despite their attraction. I always enjoy when characters are honest with themselves and others. They do a good job with being authentic. Both of them learn and grow a great deal, both personally and professionally, during this operation. They have incredible skills and self-control. It’s exciting and it’s so easy to cheer for them!

Oh it looks great! I didn’t evn know about this one!
The whole trilogy is great. This is the third one.
I don’t think that I have had a chance to read Scarlett Cole before. I am pretty sure that I would enjoy this series based on your review.
This is nice because it has the action and mystery / suspense in addition to the romance. I found both the action and the romance to be mostly realistic which really helps.
This author is one I have not tried, but you know I love romantic suspense so this appeals..plus its a trilogy and each couple gets their own book…perfect.
I think you might like it. A trilogy is easier to jump into than a longer series. Plus I think they are just starting to release this on audio. Maybe the first one was on one of my publisher lists in the last month? Well, I liked the first and third ones best but they are all very good.
