When a stalker gets too close to plus-size model Mae Cooper, it’s time to hire some muscle.
Enter former military man turned executive protection officer Ziggy Thayer. Having spent years guarding billionaires, royalty, and rock n roll greats, he’s seen it all. From lavish parties through to every kind of excess.
There’s no reason some Instagram stylista should throw him off his game. Even if she does have the most dangerous curves he’s ever seen...
So I love the Stage Dive series, and this was a nice time to revisit all the couples earlier in the series. I enjoyed this hot, sexy short story for a new couple. It is very fast and not quite realistic but so fun! Those of you who have read the series, consider Mal as a parent. I’m not sure the overall pleasure would be the same if one hasn’t read any of the series, but I would definitely recommend the entire series.
Mae and Ziggy were well drawn characters and easy to like. The suspense aspect was as fast as the rest of the story. I was amused by the appearance of Mae’s douche ex-boyfriend. There is some humor in some aspects of Mae’s work also. She is down to earth and doesn’t mind making fun of some of her situations. Ziggy is the quintessential tall, dark and handsome tough guy, strong and silent. He is also a really good guy and very competent at his job.
Closer is a sweet addition to the series and I recommend it for Stage Dive fans. It’s great to be back in their world.

*sigh* Another series I’m dying to start. I’m enjoying the stories through your reviews, Anne?
I’m with you on the series I’m dying to start problem. I’ve got the original and now on to the Stage Dive Bar series which is related.
Neat that you got a reunion with the former main characters and a couple you could root for in this one. 🙂
It’s a cute little story.
It’s an author I really want to try one day!
Her books are fun and very emotional journeys.
You make this sound so fun!
This whole series is zany and emotional and fun.
This is a series that I really do want to read someday. Glad you enjoyed this newest installment.
I love the series and it’s great to have novellas to bring us up-to-date on the couples as time goes by.
