Giovanni and Beatrice left vampire conspiracies and supernatural adventures for a peaceful family life. But peace only lasts so long for a vampire assassin and an undying scribe.
The death of an old friend leaves Giovanni with a rare opportunity. He knows that Lady Penelope's library hides more than one rare book, but can he break into her family's ancestral home without raising alarms? Giovanni and Beatrice are looking for literary treasure. Other immortals might be searching for a different and more dangerous haul.
Back in Los Angeles, Ben and Tenzin were put in charge of protecting the family. But can two powerful vampires survive the mercurial mood swings of a preteen girl? Ben and Tenzin could be facing the end… of their sanity.
Elemental Mysteries Elemental Legacy
Giovanni & Beatrice Tenzin & Ben
I think you will get more out of Fangs, Frost & Folios if you have read Elemental Mysteries (Original series with Gio and Bea) at least, and preferably Elemental Legacy series (Ben / Tenzin) also. These two series are more urban fantasy with one couple for the series. Here the characters of the two series are combined. (I borrowed some Elizabeth Hunter graphics to show the two series.)
Recent books have spent time with Ben & Tenzin but now we get an update on Gio and Bea. It’s been roughly 10 years since we have seen much and Sadia is a preteen rather than a toddler now. Gio and Bea head off to look for literary treasures in the library of a recently deceased friend of Caspar’s. Ben & Tenzin arrive to entertain Sadia so she doesn’t feel alone for the holidays if they can’t return promptly.
I enjoyed the mystery with books and thieves, along with Gio and Bea working together. Luckily, Gio has some great connections with vampires and also the literary world. Bea ends up in a sticky situation to handle.
At home, Ben is confounded by preteen girl which is precious. Tenzin figures out some of the issues and has an interesting approach which proves satisfying to Sadia and weird to everyone else.
It was so fun to be with these beloved characters again.

Wonderful to see how much you’re enjoying these stories and the series!
All her books are really good.
Sounds like one of those special stories tucked in that series fans will really adore.
This author has amazing books with great characters and settings. These novellas are a gift but I tend not to ever think novellas stand alone well without a previous sense of the characters. A very few manage it anyway.
It is nice to catch up with beloved characters. I’d love to read something by this author at some point.
You should! Her books are awesome and she has many genres.
I haven’t read this series but it does sound like one I would enjoy.
She’s one of my favorite authors.
I should check out the author. I think I’ve read something of hers before.
She writes in a few different genres.
Love this cover! And again, I do need to read something by this author. Glad you liked it!
She has several genres to try and they are all great.
Poor guy. preteens man are a rough time. LOL
